MEL Con is the MMSA school-wide writing initiative.
It is mandatory for freshmen and sophomores.
It is recommended for juniors and seniors, as needed.
If your seniors need writing help, use MEL Con to improve their skills.
Below, please find helpful files for the implementation of the MEL Con system. Teachers are encouraged to send MEL Con files to Mrs. McGeary, the site administrator. Files will be then be posted here for use by teachers and students. Below, you will find files sent by MMSA teachers past and present.
WITH MEL Con, OUR STUDENTS WILL DEVELOP THE CONFIDENCE TO WRITE EXPRESSIVELY WHEN WRITING FORMALLY. NOTE TO FREE THINKERS (THAT'S YOU!): If you are concerned that MEL Con will stunt creativity:
